The
fishing on Sag Lake and many other Gunflint Trail Lakes was very good
this past summer, with many trophy sized walleye and lake
trout catches. On June 14th, 2006 I caught my largest walleye; 32
inches and left my camera in the truck, #*@$! Saganaga [Sag] Lake
is one of the best walleye and lake trout lakes in our area.
Sag is at the end of the Gunflint Trail,
about an hour north of downtown Grand Marais, Minnesota. Many
29-32 inch and some 33 to 34 inch walleyes are caught during the
summer months.
My
favorite fishing partners are my red heads; Jessica and Sandy, sisters
four years apart. Check
out the Hawg Walleye Reports from friends at
Sea Gull Creek Fishing Camp.
If you see a green Lund boat with the
suspects below, that would be us...

Jessica is
getting up there in age, but she never wants to stay home and lay around.

My dare devil Sandy
usually rides on the bow of the boat; check out Sandy's
litter of 9 pups at:
